Hello Templeton Residents

 This past year has been extremely difficult on everyone dealing with COVID-19.  During this pandemic many of us have been home more either working or home with school age children remotely learning.  Additionally, there has been an increased interest in domestic animal (pet) ownership and farm animals. This in part has greatly increased our animal related calls for service.  Animal Control has a very limited budget which is primarily for expenses. Very little is allotted for the cost of housing and veterinary care for lost, stray and injured animals which is becoming an ever increasing burden.  Animal Control relies heavily on the Animal Control Gift Fund to purchase much needed supplies for the animals we care for including food, blankets, towels and cleaning supplies.  We are hoping that you are able to assist by making a donation of any size to the Winchendon Animal Control Gift Fund. 

 And just some helpful hints!!!!

Please call the Templeton Police Department at the main number 978-939-5638 if your dog gets loose, it will save stress on the dog and yourself if we can return it to you promptly without time at the shelter!

We always check all animals for microchips, please remember to register the animals in your name after they are adopted. Many times the microchip information leads to the shelter where the animal originally received the chip, and shelters are not open 24/7, so it can result in a delay with us in reuniting pets with their owners.
