Tree Problems

The DPW Director is the Tree Warden. The tree warden is responsible for overseeing and executing the maintenance of all public shade trees.

Before cutting any trees along a public way, please check with the Tree Warden. Any PUBLIC tree removal requires a tree hearing with the tree warden. A tree hearing may require a visit to the location with the warden. Removal of trees along a designated scenic road requires a public hearing with the Tree Warden.

To report a tree problem contact the DPW Office at 978-939-8666, Monday-Friday 7 am - 3 pm
