Planet Aid Donation Boxes

Great Opportunity To Get Rid of Items You Otherwise May Throw Away!
j

The Board of Health has made an agreement with Planet Aid to place their donation boxes in several areas around town. There are two at the Town Hall and others are in Baldwinville Center and Templeton Center. Here is some information from their site on what they do and what you can donate:

"Recycling and donating your clothes will keep them out of the trash and in the hands of someone who can give them a second life. Donating your clothes also helps fund development projects all over the world. Your donation is tax-deductible and you can easily get a receipt on our website.

We accept the following clean items in our yellow bins.

  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Bedding, towels, and curtains
  • Sleeping bags
  • Socks, underwear and bras
  • Stuffed animals

Even items with minor tears, stains, or imperfections may be donated.

The only textiles we cannot accept are those that are tattered beyond repair, dirty, wet, or moldy. We do not accept yarn, thread-bare items, spools of thread, or similar cast-offs.
