Part 2. Public Info & Input Sessions
Public Info Session:
- An overview of the Hazard Mitigation Planning process
- A summary of known hazards within Templeton and the Montachusett Region
- Discussion and examples of potential risks and impacts of those hazards and the influence of climate and effects on vulnerable populations
Public Input Session:
- What weather events or natural hazards have occurred during the last 5 to 7 years?
- What infrastructure (roads, bridges, culverts, etc.) experienced impacts due to natural hazards (flooding, icing, extreme temperatures, etc.) in the last 5 to 7 years?
- What neighborhoods, natural features, areas, specific locations, or groups of people are most at risk or vulnerable due to changing climate and increasing hazards?
- What, if any, changes in local priorities or needs have occurred in the last 5 to 7 years?
- How can this plan support the 2021 Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) plan and increase Templeton’s resiliency to the impacts of climate change?
