Templeton Police Chief Issues Request to Stay Off of Town Roads During Impending Storm

f

In anticipation that the Governor may be declaring a state of emergency, the Templeton Police Chief has issued an Urgent Alert requesting all residents to stay off the roads during the impending winter storm, especially between the early hours of Saturday, January 29, 2022, through late Saturday evening. As you probably have seen on the news, the area is expected to get severe weather and a lot of snow. Please use extreme caution if you absolutely must be on the roads any time Saturday, January 29th.

The DPW's highway crew will be out clearing the roads and would appreciate less vehicle traffic so they can get the roads cleared as quickly as possible.

Please note that the WINTER PARKING BAN is in effect annually, on November 15th, and continues through April 15th. This ban prohibits the parking of motor vehicles upon any way on such manner as to impede the removal or plowing of snow or ice, except vehicles parked in accordance with approved regulations governing all night parking between the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. during the above stated time period. This parking ban allows the Highway Department to plow and open roads in a more efficient and timely manner.
