State & Private Road Notice

Please note the Town does not maintain State roadways. For issues with any state roads (see following list), please contact MASS D.O.T. District 2 at (413) 582-0599.                                                      

State Road List: Rt 68-State Road, Rt 202-King Phillip Trail, Rt 2A-Patriots Road, Rt 202-Maple Street, Elm Street Extension,  Rt 202-Winchendon Road, and State Rt 2. 

All private roads are only plowed and sanded by the DPW. Private roads should always have a plan for emergency repair for wash outs, trees etc. The Town does not assist in any of this.                           Every year a few roads are selected for the red letter for improvements for plowing and sanding.

Trash or Recycling: Templeton does not offer trash pick-up or recycling, however, Winchenden has offered for our residents to use their transfer station. Click here for information. For Questions or Issues on Trash or Recycling. or for a list of vendors that pick-up trash in town, you may contact our Board of Health.
